Updating database with phpmyadmin
Hi folks Just wondering if there's a best practice in regard to updating a live database from the same database maintained at home.Currently I update my DB at home using PHPMy Admin and then do an export of all the data tables etc.*/ define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8'); /** The Database Collate type. */ define('DB_COLLATE', ''); Your details related to the above need to be put in the corresponding fields within the file.Once you have done this, make sure you save the new database strings within the file and now Word Press should be able to connect to the specified database as long as you have put in the correct details. Each field corresponds with the information you should already have, so inputting your correct database connection strings should be quite straight forward.Upon inputting the information about your database, you can then save the file and upload it.It is pre-installed with your web hosting subscription. In php My Admin you can, import, export, optimize or drop tables.
I do not get any errors when I try to run the PHP code by submitting the form. Also it seems a little unsafe to update the whole DB each time.
