1997, he was cast into the stage play “Kyo to Kyo.” With him acting, Satoshi decided to join the group at the age of eighteen.
Arashi is a five members group consisting of Ohno Satoshi, Masaki Aiba, Sakurai Sho, Matsumoto Jun, and Ninomiya Kazunari.
The group made their debut in Japan on November 3, 1999, with the release of their CD and debut single titled “Arashi.” Arashi’s debut single quickly became a major hit, selling 557,430 copies during the first week and over 970,000 copies by the end of its chart run.
Masaki was born on December 24, 1982, and just like Satoshi, is a multi-talented artist from the group.
Masaki also joined agency Johnny & Associates in 1996, at the age of thirteen, and he started his career when he was cast as the lead role of Gordie for the stage play “Stand by Me.” Like all the members of Arashi, Sho is widely known in Japan due to his diverse background in the entertainment industry.
Arashi is my favorite Japanese artist because my Japanese friend introduced me to the popular Japanese drama “Hana Yori Dango,” which I found out that the group sang the theme song.
