My avg 8 0 is not updating
I stripped the quotes and the cells calculated as normal.
In my instance I was using a particular add-in called PI Datalink.
You may click on the images to see their larger versions. Type the following one after the other and hit Enter: This will stop the Windows Update related Services.
Next browse to the C:\Windows\Software Distribution folder and delete all the files and folders inside. If the files are in use, and you are unable to delete some files, restart your device. Now you will be able to delete the files from the mentioned Run Windows Update again and see.
As soon as the available updates for Windows Defender are detected, they will automatically start being downloaded.
That probably turned the cell into a text format cell, even though technically the cell was still a number and listed as one under the formats.
Once the original setting had been restored, the add-in ran as normal.

Once the updates are downloaded, they will be installed – successfully, this time.
Copy the contents of the spreadsheet to a new one, and deleted the old one (it wasn't a particularly important spreadsheet, thankfully), and everything was fine.
I can only assume that somehow the file had become corrupted.
I faced this issue and my downloading was stuck at 23%, when I was trying to get Windows Insider Builds.
